As Alaskans, we have watched as salmon returns have declined across the state. Our 60-year-old laws have become outdated and ineffectual and it’s finally time to take a stand for our salmon. Ballot Measure 1 aims to bring transparency, balance and a responsible approach to large-scale development projects that impact our salmon habitat. With our Alaskan way of life, our ecosystems, and our economy (more than 32,000 jobs and over $2 billion in revenue!) relying upon the health of our salmon, Alaska Conservation Foundation hopes that you will join us in voting Yes on Ballot Measure 1!
