An international panel of experts recently met in Geneva, Switzerland to review chemicals now being considered for a worldwide ban under the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) and ACF grantee Alaska Community Action on Toxics was there. Three chemicals being considered for global action are found in the Arctic due to their long range transport by wind and ocean currents.
