Voice Your Opinion on Arctic Refuge Drilling

As of April 20th, the Trump administration has launched the process to lease the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for oil drilling. This process begins with an environmental review, which is preceded by a 60 day public comment period and five public scoping meetings in Alaska. The public comment period is open until June 19, 2018. The dates of the meetings will be announced soon.

Attend one of the BLM’s public meetings! This process begins with an environmental review, which is preceded by a 60 day public comment period, which is open until June 19, 2018. Public meetings are being hosted in Kaktovik on May 22, Arctic Village on May 24, Fairbanks on May 29, Anchorage on May 30, Utqiagvik on May 31, Venetie on June 12, Washington D.C. on June 15.  Click here for exact locations and times.
