ACF provides Northern Alaska Environmental Center (NAEC) with the critical support we need to enhance our ability to be a strong voice for conservation in Northern Alaska. In the past two years alone, they’ve provided training opportunities through the Community Capacity initiative for our staff and board–not to mention for our allies around the state–allowing us to increase our collective effectiveness and efficiency. When NAEC was going through a prolonged nationwide search for an Executive Director they leveraged their resources to help ensure a smoother transition. ACF also helps us guarantee our financial security by managing our endowment to provide sustainable funding into the future. And every year, through the Conservation Internship Program, ACF helps NAEC recruit top-notch summer interns to become part of our team. This year, NAEC will help launch four young environmental activists in their careers, with training, funding, and collaboration help from ACF.
