FY11 Organizational Capacity Grants Awarded
Your money at work – creating an enduring & effective conservation movement
Alaska Conservation Foundation’s (ACF) Organizational Capacity grants support organizations and leaders that are working to strengthen and expand Alaska’s conservation movement in keeping with the strategies and desired outcomes detailed in our Foundation’s Theory of Change. Our partners must also have a commitment and vision for advancing their own internal capacity to operate more effectively and sustainably.
In June 2011, six grants were awarded to:
- Cook InletKeeper
Homer, AK - Southeast Alaska Conservation Council
Juneau, AK - Sitka Conservation Society
Sitka, AK - Alaska Youth for Environmental Action
Anchorage, AK - Copper River Watershed Project
Cordova, AK - Alaska Community Action on Toxics
Anchorage, AK
Each organization is being awarded $20,000 per year for two years, and is eligible for up to $3,000 in restricted ACF guided support  for capacity building. ACF will be working with each grantee on an ongoing basis to evaluate the grant results.
