Intern adventures from years past: What were they up to? Where are they now?
“My internship experience directly enabled my love affair with Alaska. Applying to an ACF internship from a sweaty, Vietnamese internet café was probably the best way I’ve spent an hour of time. I didn’t know a soul when I boarded the plane for Fairbanks, but left at the end of my first summer here with offers of free housing, a free bike, and potential job if I came back. I booked my return flight for one week after my graduation. The Northern Center and its wonderful staff, board, and members have kept me outfitted with gear, skills, and companionship and I cannot even begin to thank them enough.”
